 Hike in JRF, SRF, RA Fellowship 2023: Government increases stipend for PhD scholars

The Ministry of Education (Government of India) on October 03 announced changes in the monthly emoluments of JRFs, SRFs, & RAs. Effective from January 01, 2023. The hike in stipend for JRF is increased by 19 % moreover for SRF it is increased by 20%. The revised rates for stipend are as follows;

Stipend for JRF is increased from Rs. 31000 to Rs. 37000.

Stipend for SRF is increased from Rs. 35000 to Rs. 42000.

Stipend for Research Associate-I is increased from Rs. 47000 to Rs. 58000.

Stipend for Research Associate-II is increased from Rs. 49000 to Rs. 61000.

Stipend for Research Associate-III is increased from Rs. 54000 to Rs. 67000.
